Stay
posted as i will upload pics and tech tips on how to turn
your bike into a stunter.I have recently made crash cages
and twelve bars for numerous bikes and have taken pics as
the work was carried out. I have designed a rack, that
carrys my bike behind my four wheel drive.

12
BAR
Using
50 mm x 6mm flat bar this pic shows how you can make
a twelve bar .As you can see in the picture you have
to design your twelve bar to be strong enough to
hold the bike upright as well as stopping the bike
from flipping. The last thing you want is to wheelie
back to the bar and finding it snapping off. The two
rails of the sub frame should be connected together
with your twelve bar for greater strength. When your
happy with the way you have bolted and welded in
supports it's time to get the right length on which
will determine how far the bike is angled back. In
this picture i have made it about one inch past
where the taillight would be. Now here's the tricky
bit you will have to park the bike upright on a flat
surface, It is most important to have the skid plate
welded on so that it scrapes with the rear edge of
the blade, you don't want the leading edge shovelling
in to road. To make this bar took me around two
hours from start to finished.

CRASH
CAGE
Crash
cages are used for protecting the engine cases of
your bike without out this frame your risking
potential fatal motor damage if the bike falls hard
on its side from a crash. After designing the 12 bar
I placed the bike up in that position and used some
15mm round bar and some pipe that would fit tightly
over conventional frame sliders. welding onto that
pipe some tube that would fit the 15mm round bar
into. I then drilled holes and welded 12mm nuts to
this pipe that I could tighten down onto the round
bar. Then it was just a simple task of bending the
round bar with help from a oxy set to heat the metal
and shape it to fit nicely around the engine. once
this is done the frame will need to be supported
from moving back and forth a couple of pieces of
30mmx 5 mm fat bar bolted from a secure part of the
bike forward to the round bar frame. I have had a
few crashes so far and it has proven itself.

HANDBRAKE
Theses
pictures show Ducati clutch master cylinders
used as a rear brake lever designed to save the bike
from flipping if you wheelie to high where in some
case you may not be able to get to the rear brake
pedal, There are master cylinders available to
operate both rear brake levers at the same time or
you can use another brake calliper which will need
to be aluminium welded to the existing calliper
bracket.

PROTECTIVE
CLOTHING MUST
BE WORN
Well
you can see what happens if you are a fool...I was wasn't
wearing a jacket and i was flipped over the handlebars
after hitting the rear brake to hard while doing a
vertical wheelie. Dam it now its infected because it
was burnt on the front brake disc rotor now i have a
meeting with a plastic surgeon for a graft. Its just
not worth while risking your skin.
